@DaveVoyles @dylanwolf this is actually good in a lot of ways - no tool crunch, continued support, cheaper over time, and less sunk cost.
Agree MT @dylanwolf: it's better for upgrades, but I'm uncomfortable with so many tools (Unity, Xamarin, Adobe, etc.) moving to subscription
