Latest Crypto Portfolio recommendations 50% ETH 10% Matic 40%: fxs, aave, mkr, link, uni, avax, (smaller allocations within the 40% to: snx, grt, ldo) I am also researching the idea of allocating to ZEC to sit in a shielded wallet for private savings.

If the rally stops before ETH $2000 this bounce will have been nothing more than typical “boring low” volatility. Even if the ultimate low is already in, it’s unlikely that crypto prices will be done with the “boring low” to restart the “boom” part of the cycle anytime soon.

In a typical crypto 3-5 year boom, bust, boring low cycle. The boring low ends with a fast 100%+ gain. ETH blows through $2000 & BTC $30,000 within weeks. Then they fall back to around $1500 and $20K before continuing up. Until then, this is a typical boring low bounce.

The US is more expensive not paying people to work. The US is more expensive because of "regulations" & legal risks. The restrictions on building do not reduce risk nor help the environment and The red tape is not worth losing the computer chip and other industries for.

In the 1800s, the talented became captains of industry By the 1950s, technology favored a giant centralized state — and talent gravitated to institutions because entrepreneurship became so hard By the 1990s, talent began brain draining out of institutions & back to the market
Quote Tweet
Started reading the Trader Joes book and an interesting point he makes is that a big part of why America worked well in the 50s is that most institutions were staffed by overqualified men with a ton of life experience from the great depression + war

The Japanese Central Bank is not in charge. People expected the Japanese central bank to increase rates today as if they are in charge. Rates will eventually go higher when the market forces them higher not when Central bankers choose.

In 2021 we had seven months to sell ETH over $3000 & since June 2022 we have had seven months to buy ETH at under $1500. In 2025 will we have seven months to sell ETH over $10k?

Chip manufacturing is one example of why inflation will remain higher. Manufacturing in the US is much more expensive due to “red tape” and a less skilled work force. Even without that self inflicted wound, restructuring takes time and money.

If you have been DCA investing since June, you are happy to see higher prices. I expect this rally to fail and we retest lows, but if I am wrong and this is the start of a big bull market, I am OK since 80% of that ETH sold at $3000+ in 2021, I already re-invested at sub $1500.

The cycle: Boom, bust, boring low. Is investing that easy? This pattern will continue until it doesn't. Patterns tend to end when you finally discover it. And even when you know the pattern, its hard to break from the herd. Even when its easy, managing risk is not easy.

3/3 1-40% - If you are new, start with 1%. If you made and protected gains, you can leave higher percents in crypto. Most should only own ETH. Keep in mind, if you are on a centralized exchange, you don't really own crypto and in that case should only hold ETH or BTC.

2/3 15-40% stocks - energy, minerals, get back into growth and tech over next 6 months. 0-25% real estate - I don't love real estate today, but if you bought a house a year ago, its OK and if its not liquid, its OK to hold or live in it! continue --->

My baby sitter asked me if she should buy today. And this tweet below is an example of the hopium that still exists. When the bear is over, we will rally and no one will think it will continue. Only when no one expects it, will it keep going higher.

ESG stands for Everything Goes to Shit. **NUCLEAR is the cleanest, safest, most efficient, least expensive energy source. No surprise the ESG grifters hate nuclear and Germany’s “green” ESGers increase use of coal and wood!

In our public story we note that the German Green party has unwittingly become the biggest supporter of coal-fired power in Germany. You could not make this up. eurointelligence.com

Harvard professors argue it’s possible for a centralized organization to decentralize, but has it ever happened? You can also argue that a large incumbents can beat the startup built on revolutionary new tech, but it never does. Don’t bet on these transitions until completed!
Quote Tweet
If your operational model starts out centralized, is it doomed to stay that way? Not at all! Progressive decentralization is possible, as @Jad_AE and I discuss today in @a16zcrypto: a16zcrypto.com/progressive-de 🧵👇

In fiat and centralized crypto, when you deposit money, you are giving up legal ownership rights. Your stocks are not yours. Your savings account is not yours. The only money you can own are decentralized crypto tokens with you holding your own keys.

Solana is the only blockchain with a plan to scale within one chain. (No layer 2’s or shards, etc) This is an unproven concept which makes Solana extra risky for next cycle. I am waiting for the next bear market to reconsider investing in $SOL
Quote Tweet
So many people unable or unwilling to accept the bitter truth about Solana, especially now that it's received some pity from Vitalik. So much sunk cost fallacy, white knighting, Stockholm syndrome. The truth is, Solana's "culture" has been an absolute carnival scam from day 1.

The goal of buying during the bear market is not that each buy is the ultimate low. The goal is that when you have exhausted your DCA funds, the ultimate low is already in and you have a good average cost. I will probably be done accumulating in Q1 2023. Then we HODL 3-5 years.

Prices are obviously down in the last few days That hasn't changed any of my bullishness though, this feels and looks like a bottom range to me. If we wipe lower I'll buy more but it feels unlikely I'm not here to lament 10% moves, I'm here because 100%+ is a clear possibility

It is becoming popular to know that nuclear energy is the cleanest, least expensive, and safest energy source. Looking forward to next 2 weeks podcasts about nuclear energy. Other than stock URNM, how can we invest in this multi decade trend?

Smart individual investors can (and have) consistently beaten top venture capital investors. I have gotten into solid token investments at lower prices than VC's and have 24/7 liquidity with no lock up and no minimums, and can regularly adjust position size.
