So few people understand that personas are only half a tool. Without scenarios, personas will just sit around & drink all your wine. But “scenarios” without personas lack the human motivation that guides good design decisions.

I had a good experience when we used the term archetypes because my main client and I could call attention to the word choice and then discuss what this way of formatting and sharing insight meant - what we knew, what we still had to learn, how we wanted them to engage with it.

Yes. More people need to say: “What is good & useful in method X that I could use?” Instead of “This minor aspect doesn’t work for me so I will dismiss the whole thing.”
