I don’t understand why we need terms for how you act (butch or fem). Terms for who you fuck are useful when arranging fucking. Terms for reproduction are useful for arranging that. I don’t care how you say you act or how you say you present. Stop saying. Just be.

It's incredibly useful and important for queer people (not sure how you identify, I never assume any which way) for a number of reasons I won't get into. But straight folks co-opting queer as an identify feels very strange to me.

Has this been replaced by "non-binary"? Honestly, I don't keep track of the terms as much anymore, but I seem to hear "non-binary" used more often to denote "atypical sex expression" rather than using "queer." I've not heard str8 people using "queer" to mean "masc or fem acting."
