As far as I known it's still rare for CS or Design programs to include ethics or philosophy, even as in dept. electives. Would you agree or have things changed?

Nope, it's still very rare to be mandated, but some programs require a few liberal arts electives and suggest philosophy and social science programs. I'm really railing against the program that don't even suggest liberal arts electives.

Product deals with a strange ethical paradox where the level of technological achievement inversely affects the magnitude of dissonance. The most unethical requests get considered because they would fund/further the "greater" technological initiative.
