Well yes, thought that was a bit of a mouthful for Twitter ;P Vox ran a great video about the network effect and use of the platform, but my point is mainly that if people /need/ to use the platform they’ll suffer through what is, in Facebook’s case, an intentionally bad UX
Australia’s Centrelink has been criticised for this kind of treatment of UX. Their website is so ridiculously intentionally bad an experience it discourages people to try to apply for social security benefits. It’s all quite disgusting.
