Happy Holidays! No this isn't Jesus' birthday. We don't when he was born. Christ Mass is the only service permitted after sunset and is in memory of his death and resurrection. Roman Emperor Constantine celebrated on this day, and Pope Julius I made the date official.

Christ Mass has been celebrated on December 25, January 6 (or 7), and March 25, with some variations across the forms of Christianity (and due to differences among the Jewish, Julian, and Gregorian calendars.)
