They're too small for warehouse. FB group lets them put up wares, shoppers ask; they reconcile on/offline at their own pace. Problem solved

For spinner guys, I've seen benefits to using FB groups to run biz just from observation. Caveat: these aren't rigorously researched.

1. Crowd control: The makers are indie artisan types who don't operate at scale; community is small but dedicated ($1-200+ spinners)

Some are from overseas/anonymous, gains fame thru product alone. They put out form w/ pics, interested parties just sign up, fairly simple

Also speaks to 2: inv. mgmt. They likely can't afford to keep stock; forms shot out to fans who applied to be in group gets efficient sales

3. some generate sales via scarcity. They do "drops" of product which is sold out 99% of time. Groups lets them hype/announce to community

Many of them also have sites, but if you think about it, it's just overhead a lot of the time. They basically sell on their own schedule.

Some of them thrive on exclusivity; you have to jump thru hoops to "get in". You see how the site's importance becomes more marginalized

I think the exclusivity factor is worth much more than most people realize. Knowing who, when, where, and how when most don't = VALUE.

No doubt. The YT videos reviewing these products gets a 00's of hits, 000's if they're lucky. $50-400 Product releases sell out all the time
