I also use the sketches to track plantings for cataloging. We plant densely, and this really helps to know what is where. :)

Ooh that’s a smart idea. I have a spreadsheet of what’s in my beds but digitizing sketches makes much more sense

It's inevitable. LOL One important thing: learn how to prune & trim. Do it wrong, things look crap or die. Do it right, thriving beauty. :)
