Touring this the Dana house was SUPER interesting. More than expected. Lots of little design cues, trends, that appeared later in his work.
Wright buildings are fascinating. The one on Maiden is seismically unsound - you pass a warning sign in the entryway.
Most design heros (to me) are meh when you dig down. Not generally applicable, of a time, didn't really work...
Going into a fully realized Wright building is inspiring, paradigm altering. Want to change everything about how I work now.
Though I recently read some things about him revealing that he wasn't all that grand, and not all ideas his. Made him too human in some ways
Also, been in 140 Maiden Lane, but in a bad era. With walls on the ramps and they didn't want tourists. Want to see it renovated sometime.
