Honest question: should I feel badly about unfollowing people who post truthful but always negative content about world politics & climate?

I just need to better manage the negativity in my life, but I also don't want to miss important info about social collapse...

Do what keeps you nice and healthy. Apocalypse will let you know when it comes around. (100% sure I've been unfollowed cause of same reason)

I've lost followers for that reason, too. When this whole mess started, I had people tell me to stop politics, I didn't, they unfollowed.

And to that, I'd say, as much as I don't play it off as lightly irl: it's just Twitter followers. can't hang on to every one

Yep, and I neither tried to persuade nor acquiesce. I was doing what I needed / wanted to do at that time (and still do.)

No one is wrong, just have different views. It's always fun debating over it as long as it doesn't get violent.

Not saying people are wrong, just that some people focus only on the negative - no balance, no positives, no action. Just complaints.

1/ It's always been a combo of work (UX stuff), personal interests, humor, and news. Many people (from all areas) have become political.

You can't reliably depend on others to do what's best for you. You must do that. Cull and don't worry about it for more than 7 seconds.

Funny, but about 10 seconds after I sent that first tweet I unfollowed one of the most negative doomsayers. It felt good.
