Part of me wants 45 to just get tired of the job and says, "Fuck it, I'm out." The other part of me needs to see him tried and convicted.

Even if he steps down, he could still be tried and convicted. Best of both worlds?

I'm not a vengeful person, but I can't help feel we need to make him an example for society: THIS IS NOT RIGHT, NOT NORMAL, NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Yeah, everyone deserves a fair trial. But also, his life and actions should serve as a cautionary tale to other would-be despots.

Doubt it. Too much money was made. Even if charged and tried, he'll be pardoned and richer than he was before. It will have been worth it.

I really want to believe this, but I'm skeptical. It's a path to billion$. Some will walk it. It's up to the voting public to stop them.

Don't use the past tense yet. We have a deep dark forest to get through before we can look back and say, "We have something to learn here."

Okay, we "are learning" our lesson in real-time. The fever has not yet broken. We've still got to pass this kidney stone, etc. :)

45 is more like an enormous hairball that needs to be coughed up and spat out...
