Why do we call it "mixed reality" when it's really reality + imaginary? It's not two different realities, it's one plus some fake stuff.

I can only guess it’s so that it’s easier to represent in math as (actual + augmented)(reality).

I like the phrase "augmented reality" - it's accurate. "Mixed reality" is misleading - that other stuff is not real.
