Why don't Americans pronounce error as 2 clear syllables with a hard r sound? They say something like air-uh
different dialects in American English pronounce "error" and "mirror" with varying amounts of "r"

I say "air-er" and "meer-er" with all of the rs, unless I'm in a hurry. Or drunk.
