@ddt yeah, except "sunk cost fallacy" is more often used in behavioral economics; escalation of commitment was coined in psych research 1976 -
@DaveHogue True. Guess I was assuming motivation in escalation: "we’ve spent so much effort on this method…" Not the case? -
@ddt money (sunk cost) is one example, but commitment to recover what was list (then gain more) can be more general (e.g., reputation)
