@ddt It was located in the sound room by accident - the installers got it backwards. The terminal and I should have been in the chamber...

@DaveHogue Or for what you’d actually be doing, it seemed. Message was: you would be a fungible product. -
@ddt Fungible? Not really. More like "fit the key to the lock." -
@DaveHogue Well, that’s not how it comes across if you’re being interviewed by Employee X and not told anything about the conditions/role. -
@ddt Unnecessarily abstruse and overly cautious. I always say who I am and what I do. Candidates need context. -
@DaveHogue I agree. The interview was me asking ~70% of the questions. Don’t understand the reason for the secrecy. -
@ddt That's unusual. Sounds like inadequate preparation (or worse.) -
@DaveHogue Joking about drinking was more fun. -
@ddt Wishing I weren't sober... :\ - 7 more replies

@DaveHogue I had to ask the interviewer what she did at work. She was nice, but seemed she was coached not to answer. -
@ddt Eh. We cannot make imply commitments to assignments. We seek fit first, placement later. -
@DaveHogue I… guess? I’m motivated by project, not "you get to work in some capacity for Company X." Also, no other company does this?

@DaveHogue I mean, it’s good to hear the terms "contextual inquiry" and all, but they couldn’t answer "can you give me an example?" -
@ddt Interviewing with a practitioner or recruiter? Worried about the former, not the latter. -
@DaveHogue Not sure I understand what you mean by your worry? Everyone was nice, but the process stunk. -
@ddt The process is different. I had similar experiences and didn't understand until I saw it from the other side. -
@DaveHogue So, it’s designed for the business interests, not the user interests? Ha! -
@ddt It's designed for performance of both individual and business, but not adequately communicated in all instances. :\ -
@DaveHogue I suspect the emails were fashioned by someone who thought just the company name would be enough (1/2)
