@stowball The blind effect is a bit choppy on my Win 8.1 machine with the latest stable of Chrome. The normal is much smoother. Nice work.

@DaveHogue Yeah, it's not as smooth - I guess because the browser is doing a lot of extra work. But the effect looks so much nicer overall -
@stowball dumb question: but would forcing a CSS 3D transform smooth that out? (or did you do that and I just didn't look at the code...) -
@DaveHogue I've just used translate3d to push it on to the GPU. I think it's a bit better -
@stowball Def better on my machine - the top of the div doesn't jump and go jaggy now, though the bottom of the div stutters a bit still. :) -
