@DaveHogue I mean you can prepare the rich symbols.in Fireworks, edit again and import as AI file. Not great but still can -
@chunwui That's an onerous workflow, and it does nothing for working within an AI file. InDesign actually offers more with object libraries.

@DaveHogue Illustrator has symbols, but I don't think they'll compare to FW rich symbols -
@2upmedia yeah, they are not editable per instance - either break the symbol apart or add separate pieces to each symbol. :-(

@luckymethod yet another FW feature essential for work but not kept by Adobe... Unfortunately, I can't choose the tool in this case... :-\
