Call out the "Selected" button state and swap the 2 wireframe objects with no hassle to re-position. http://www.screenr.com/myF8 #adobefireworks
@chunwui @fwextensions could also use the vector drawing tool to sketch shapes (like Proto gestures) and replace with symbols we can scale.

@DaveHogue@fwextensions the vector drawing part i think will be hard as FW do not know what you trying to do. I think of that at first :)Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@DaveHogue@chunwui Would picking a symbol and then replacing the selection with the symbol scaled to the selection's size be enough? -
@fwextensions@DaveHogue yeah be enough. the command must be able to pick up the pattern. can it be done? -
@chunwui@DaveHogue Pick up what pattern? -
@fwextensions@DaveHogue the kind of marquee draw to pick up the symbol..how u pick up the symbol? -
@chunwui@DaveHogue You'd have to pick it from a pop up dialog listing the symbols. -
@fwextensions@DaveHogue ah so is a marquee to trigger to choose from a list, drop the symbol and scale to the marquee width. right? -
@chunwui@fwextensions I would rather draw a free form shape that gets replaced with a symbol scaled to the size of the drawn shape. -
@DaveHogue@fwextensions that is most ideal but is a whole lot of work to figure out how FW can detect these shapes as everyone draws diff. - 1 more reply

@DaveHogue@chunwui@fwextensions@DeeSadler I like that idea too -
@stowball@chunwui@fwextensions some proto gestures drop a one-size only symbol, the the user scales it (e.g., video player)

@DaveHogue@chunwui How could you use the marquee size to pick a symbol if you also want it to scale?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
