Only one problem, I am just flat out not a fan of Windows. I realize it’s come a LONG way. But 20+ years of muscle memory just can’t stomach it…. yet. But I did visit a MSFT store recently

I've gone back and forth between both for years. The only issue I ever had was getting used to the modifier key positions. Once you're in the applications, what's the difference? They're identical.

I agree. But the Mac has always been simpler IMO. Windows, to me, has always seemed like a nonstop barrage of updates and hassles. I could be wrong. I’m not a fan of the file system or the interface in Win either. I’m giving it a shot via in-person store visits though. We’ll see.

You would be correct 5 or 6 years ago. Today? O/S updates are issued on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Windows 7 was an update nightmare. I wouldn't even be having this conversation but what's the point in sticking with something you're not happy with?

I also like the cohesive ecosystem of iOS and macOS. If win phone was still a thing and integrated like that I’d be more likely to jump ship. I’m so heavily invested across the board with iOS/Mac only apps, so it’s tough.

MSFT has done an amazing job of integrating Android and iPhone into the Windows 10 ecosystem. I get my text messages and other alerts from my phone to desktop and continue reading a website, too. OneDrive uploads pics to cloud and right to computer.

Hmm, interesting. The platform-specific apps are still problematic. If I had a migration tool or one-time purchase/transfer option I’d be more ok with it. Like I said, big investment, so weighing options. I don’t disagree with you though.

I shall! I’ve also considered a move to Android. The pixel lineup is tempting and stylish. iOS is lagging behind and feels stale to me. I stick with it for convenience.

No surprises, but I use MacOS, Android, Windows 10, iOS, and Chrome OS. I use iOS the least (and like it the least), but I have no issues with any of them to say, "I won't use this." They are just tools to me, not status symbols.
