Want to know why asking people about things they would like to do or might do in the future is bad research and useless? Just take a look around you: how many things did you buy because you "thought you'd like to do that" yet there it sits years later, gathering dust...
I also want to know why you were interested in the first place? What did you hope to achieve or accomplish? Why is that interesting, attractive, desirable, intriguing to you? What was your desired outcome? Then we can study how that goal may have been thwarted or misguided.
