yeah. Trying to get the paperwork sorted to start COBRA, and they want a form sent over email. Been on phone a lot today. Dismayed that a company that does this as their product is so clueless.

But this isn't the first company that's done this. A recent previous employer wanted similar, and only gave me secure options after I demanded them.

I recently sent some paperwork with personal data via email, so I put it in an encrypted, password protected file and used encrypted email. Then I had to send explicit instructions to the recipient in three subsequent emails...

Call me crazy, but If a company is dealing with personal/sensitive data, they should be legally required to provide a secure method of providing that data.
