    Another News Flash: Landmark is going to have to be a 64-bit OS game *only*. We are going to be unable to support 32-bit OS as we had hoped.

        @DaveGeorgeson Is EQNext also this unoptimized?

      2. David Georgeson ‏@DaveGeorgeson 3 Feb 2014

        @imbonked Although we have a lot of optimization still to go, the 64-bit decision is forced because 32-bit OS only allows access to 2GB RAM.

        @DaveGeorgeson that is a ton of RAM to need to be able to access. I'm no expert on your engine, but that seems to bode scary for the game.

        @imbonked Well...nowdays, 2GB RAM just doesn't go that far. Seriously.

        @DaveGeorgeson Hmm, I just noticed that the female elf is holding the bow wrong. String should be on inner arm. Maybe she's just posing.

        @DaveGeorgeson If I purchased a Founders Pack with a 32 bit system, can I get a refund, as I saw this nowhere before I purchased it?

        @jdavidson1 yup! No problem! Please call customer service and they'll help! (Although...it's a painless upgrade...just sayin'... :)

        @DaveGeorgeson. Unless I am mistaken, going from XP to 7 requires a complete wipe. At least wiki told me that. That is not painless to.me.

        @Chad_Albritton @jdavidson1 @DaveGeorgeson XP 64 bit still requires fresh wipe to install 7 64 bit as per http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd772579%28v=ws.10%29.aspx …

        @DaveGeorgeson Does that mean someone on a 32bit OS can't play at all? (Wish I knew more about this stuff).

        @KeenandGraev @DaveGeorgeson Yes, it means you will need to move to a 64 bit version of Windows. And your CPU needs to be 64bit.

        @defianceKal @KeenandGraev @DaveGeorgeson aren't all dual core and above naturally 64bit? Are there any single cores left?

        @HDHarris802 @defianceKal @KeenandGraev @DaveGeorgeson It is more about your OS. Processors don't dictate that they just run.

        @imbonked @defianceKal @KeenandGraev @DaveGeorgeson yes I know, I was speaking to the 64 bit CPU part

        @DaveGeorgeson Darn. I love you guys and you business ethics, but I think limiting it to 64 bit infrastructures is going to hurt sales.

        @mgnexus @DaveGeorgeson Firstly, I was completely unaware that it was going to be free to play so my point is moot basically.
