    Back in the ‘80s, the CBA used to have a standings-point system that awarded seven per game, three for winning the game and one each for winning the quarter. I still think that was the most meaningfully innovative quirk a minor sports league has ever instituted.

    Well, the Wolves won the third quarter! Still down 110-96 entering the fourth.

    The are back at it vs. Indiana, three days after their crushing defeat vs. Iowa. This doesn't apply tonight, but just noticed that their 1-8 road record is the worst among the top 72 teams in the NCAA's Net Rankings.

    I've long maintained that, if California splits in two or something similar, Minnesota and Wisconsin ought to merge. Minnesconsin, Wiscesota, either way, we'd be a powerhouse.
