When traveling I have found that my camera becomes my excuse or motivation to engage with people. Walking up to talk to someone random is hard, but when you engage them while you are photographing them, magic can happen. Really inspired by Vivian Maier's technique

Years ago I bought a 1 way ticket from Boston to San Fran, to try to work at I had ZERO plan of where to live etc. Started a conversation on the plane with a couple who hooked me up with a ride and a place to stay. Game changer.Talking to strangers is becoming a lost art
