Seriously curious - how did this affect crime? It doesn't seem like criminals would step up and turn in their weapons. Was something done differently to handle that situation?

I'm not a gun guy, but I also don't want to take ALL the guns away. There are just a few out there that maybe regular non-military people should not personally own. The list is pretty small. And psych evals! That's pretty much it. Easy enough.
