API was restructured when we moved away from WebVR to allow for it. (No more events on Window, for example). Mostly a matter of spending the time to think through all the cases where the API might have to handle something in a worker differently.

Just putting this out there: I’d love to get involved. I think it would make it easier to build _resilient_ XR apps.
