I briefly learned Prolog in school. I recognized it when I started looking into Erlang. Only later I learned that it was first was based on Prolog. Never got comfortable with it though. Turns out, I was more attached to Pascal, hence why I felt more comfortable with Go.
-
Honestly it still bends my mind that erlang was implemented in Prolog.

Seems fine to use a technology if it fits the design space, even if it's old. Prolog sounds perfectly reasonable for defining arbitrary constraints.

The only other logic language I've encountered is ASP, and I don't want to see that in JS tooling, as cool as it ishttps://hoten.cc/blog/a-gentle-introduction-to-asp/ …

Not all that logic is a good move. Some features of some languages or version of those languages should have been put down way before they were implemented... Not pointing any fingers, we all do mistakes.
