%wise how much would we have to reduce the military budget to make sure every teacher in America was paid $100k/annual from the Federal government. I say fed govt for obvious reasons.

Effed up the math, thought it looked too low. 3.2M teachers. $61,730 average (Need to force older teachers to retire, they're driving it up! Jk jk...) So increase of $38,270 is... $122B. Military spending estimated at $934B so... 13%

Divert some of that to material costs. Bring up the floor federally (it's like $28K in some states), require a percent pay jump for graduate degrees (my masters was worth $100 /yr to my district), and years (it's $1 /yr here). And take healthcare out of the equation entirely.
