weve proven we can fund a lot of things if we wanted...ive always thought about what would your spending habits be if you werent tossing away a huge insurance premium every month, or student debt your wallet would feel a lot heavier and free to spend in your community
%wise how much would we have to reduce the military budget to make sure every teacher in America was paid $100k/annual from the Federal government. I say fed govt for obvious reasons.

So 3.3 million public school teachers with an average salary nationwide of $61,730. So that's $38,270 (pay raise) multiplied by 3.3 million (# of teachers) which equals 126,291,000,000 (126.2 billion) The 2019FY DOD budget was 686.1 billion.

There's roughly 4 million (public school) teachers, so a little less than 1/2 (of military spending.)

3.7M k-12 teachers in the us, 3.7M * $100k ~= $370B. Take that out of the $934B 2020 military budget leaves us with a reduction of 39.6%. Sounds like a good deal to me.
