The year is 2035. Sales of new gas powered vehicles is banned. You drive to a used car lot and buy a 2034 gas powered Dodge Ram.

Typically the issue with out of state vehicles is the smog equipment they have or rather don’t have to meet out emission standards which brings up the future of smog repair shops. Lots of interesting things.
I think something to look at is how many cars are purchased here vs the rest of the US. I think Gavin believes this move can actually expedite these companies moving towards full electric.

I've seen some flippant comments along the lines of "King Newsom just solved climate change." This doesn't have to solve anything, it just needs to help move the needle. If this *does* help expedite things towards electric, that's a good thing. I guess we'll see how it plays out.
