To be fair. You pay basically all interest up front for the first 15 years and then all principal for the next 15 So most of her payments have been tax deductible getting back 30%ish of what she paid And she if she could have paid even 10%a month over the min it would be less

As a student, I don’t necessarily have an issue paying back the principle of what I’m borrowing. It’s the interest that gets me, especially on fed loans which shouldn’t have a goal of making a profit. That being said, the system is so fucked it needs done away with. Start new.

At my University,they hand out the loan paperwork before the Fin. Aid.What u think u r looking at the University’s tuition page it’s actually the loan’s website.Even the loan business website is in the University’sBlue&Orange colors. Smh They set us up for failure from the start
