So if Dems take all three branches there will be no excuse that we don't get rid of the electoral college, enact universal mail-in voting, and give everyone over the age of 18 the right to vote....right?

I may be wrong here but I believe this would require an Amendment to be passed? Both Houses of Congress 2/3 vote then to states 3/4 vote? Either that or 2/3 of state legislature’s call a convention and then ratify with 3/4 vote?

Ask yourself how many deep Red states there are. And what changing the electoral college likely means to their chance of ever seeing a GOP President again. There actually needs to be an amendment that fixes representative balance. Should have been implemented after the Civil War.
