Reminder that PPP loans will only be forgiven if payrolls are covered. That's the purpose. The oversight should be heavy, and you're allowed to be frustrated by who did/didn't get approved. But all "you won't believe which TRUMP LOVERS got money" headlines are misleading.
I think the problem is they’re going to be forgiven anyways. You were supposed to take out 2.5x your monthly payroll and people at this point have taken out an entire years worth of payroll. Also they dropped the amount needing to be paid on payroll from 75% to 60%.

The website explicitly says payroll expenses in the 24 week period following your application? 60% is maybe appropriate for very small businesses, but I agree that's a big margin. Feds definitely need to give the impression of heavy oversight to prevent abuse, and follow up.
