I guess I’m not sure what documents they’re actually getting because if they’re after personal tax returns and not his businesses nothing like that would ever show up on a tax doc. It’s not deductible and how’s it’s broken down, you wouldn’t be able to see it.

I think it has more to do with the fact that he's refusing to show them. It could all be a well orchestrated ploy by dear leader to keep them away from his business tax returns. I want the business returns not his personal ones. I aybe this is the first step in getting all?

It would darkly funny if after all this time we find he hasn't been hiding any wrong doing, he was just wanting to keep his finances private.

I think it is entirely possible he paid no taxes & claimed he lost money .... & that his reported net wealth is not over $1b Publicly he has stated the opposite of those & if his IRS documents didn’t match his rhetoric it means he either lied to the public or IRS

I kind of wonder if they'll show surprisingly low income -- either that it's just "embarassing" for him, or to the extent that there's probable cause to look into businesses, embezzlement, etc.

This is better than that. The ruling is actually against his accountants for taxes and financials *and* his banks for records related to loan applications. If there are any discrepancies those form the basis of a host of fraud charges. The payoff accounting would just be icing.
