People use the term "friends" very loosely. Many people avoid having conversations on anything remotely controversial. Probably why The "Real World" became popular on Mtv, because certain topics were finally being had in a household. Many friendships are completely superficial.

One girl I've known for years stopped following me on IG weeks ago because I was indirectly critical of "her" President. I never responded to her pro President posts, but the fact I made my view known on my own account was one she refused to want to see/acknowledge apparently.
