I burned the hell out of Tahdig the first and only time I attempted it. Like black as charcoal. Was not pleasant.
Not sure if you are on FB but if you are I can give you the name of a Persian recipe group that is always on point. The best part is the older Iranians talking shit on everyone's recipes.
