I think initially the Dems/media wanted to embarrass him bc they didn't believe he was worth as much as he said he was. Other than that they were kind of fishing and hoping for evidence of criminal activity Sure he's a crook but prob in similar ways to many Dems tax evasion
Something I have always been interested in was the obsession with Trump's tax returns. Had anyone ever looked at a tax return? What exactly are people hoping to see?

I agree with that first statement for sure. Something like tax evasion and criminal activity would require an actual audit which is why I was always confused. Same with his business returns. Like to think payment from Russia will be on there? I dunno lol

Prior to the 2016 election, Trump said if Americans could see his tax returns, he'd never get elected. So something's there that he's desperate to keep under wraps.
