I think a lot of people are missing the point with the criticism of Biden before the convention: 1. Trump is an existential threat to our democracy 2. Biden would change tone at the top 3. Biden would NOT make the structural change necessary for America to move forward

However when it comes to fiscal issues, both parties have essentially moved the same way and it has created the income inequality we see today. Until a party shows they see how corporatism has taken over the US you will continue to have this massive amount of distrust.

I also believe the social issues are why so many older voters are turned off by raging against “the establishment” because in their eyes that “establishment” is who fought for lgbtq rights, a women’s right to choose and much more.
