Let's not forget, Martin Luther King Jr. rallied against white supremacy, imperialism, economic inequality, and state-sponsored violence. A protest like this flies in the face of everything he stood for. (1/2)

For us to ever turn MLK's vision into a reality, however, we will need leaders willing to fight for systematic change. We will need leaders who don't simply prioritize the powerful, but who instead prioritize issues inherently tied to inequality. (2/2)
