If we want to thank our veterans we need to care for them when they come home, make sure that they aren’t waiting almost a year to see a doctor, and ensure they have all the mental health needs squared away.

If we want to thank our veterans there needs to be solutions and actions to back up those words. Parades are nice, but if you ask a vet which they want more, I would be willing to bet they would want us to be making sure a Vet isn’t homeless or can get the mental health treatment

they need or making sure their VA benefits are paid on time and not delayed. We owe them. We owe them this and so much more. Parades and thank you’s just aren’t enough.
