    Any internet accessible home surveillance video service will provide access to that video, to the government of whatever country you are in, if they get the right paperwork. You cannot "opt out" of a subpoena. Do not use cloud cameras with any expectation of privacy.

    Cops can ask Ring to save any footage they want, meaning it doesn't get deleted under Ring's cloud storage plan, while they get a warrant/subpoena Ring videos aren't exactly "yours." Cops are always a step away from getting whatever they want.

    I just got home from ER, my 16 year old teenage Son badly broke his arm in a bicycle accident this afternoon & is gonna need surgery with plates/screws. He's doing okay but in a lot of pain. He literally broke off the end bone of his elbow & they've got to reattach it.

    My tabletop RPGs were never quite this fun. I suppose now that I've come out to my gaming friends of 30 years i could do female characters (and maybe this will happen to me).

    Our characters were mostly idealised versions of ourselves, so when we all got sucked into the game, I was pretty happy. Then I remembered Joe. His character was a goblin girl. "Oh, Joe... I'm sorry," I said. But Jo had a huge grin on her face. "Fuck yes!" she said, "it worked!"

    I'm all for this, even though it'd eventually make me hate what are today's Canadians. Their politics aren't better, they're just differently messed up. But i'd SO love to be free from the Jesusland folks.

    my college roommate was a homophobic Californian who assumed I was gay on sight bc I had short hair & would yell "YOU NEED TO GO TO CHURCH" whenever I pissed her off. The degree of limited life experience required to reach this conclusion...you'd have to be a very stunted weirdo.

    I'm pretty self-sufficient in Shenzhen and wouldn't need to interact with people. Lots of PPE, I can decontaminate packages placed through the sally port pretty well with UV/Ozone, have 2000L of water and enough food for a few weeks. First-aid, FLIR cameras, HEPA filters, etc.

    Maybe understating the risk. According to published reports, the virus has an R2.5. That means every infected person is likely to infect 2.5 other people on average. Barring containment, this thing will spread exponentially. Take precautions, wear a mask and use sanitizer.
