Intermittent fasting n=1: "I am a female, age 43. Never been overweight. Never had gestational diabetes. No family history of diabetes. Yet, I am one of those for whom IF has had the opposite effect. It has INCREASED blood glucose & HbA1c. I am close to prediabetic now.
"
I read intermittent fasting as 16-24 hours between meals.. anything more is unresearched

Even that, 16-24hr is a big difference but there are plenty of people that fast for much longer and some that fast for 12hr each day and concodwr it interment fasting. The content of the diet after the fast is the most important metabolically though, the duration is secondary.

Fair enough. I usually do 16-19hs, and then have whatever I want, keeping carbs to a minimum.. not sure what's so difficult about this.

That’s a good stretch. Yeah I do 16 hours and I fell fantastic. Everyday I eat from 1pm-9pm. Training days= post workout carbs, non training <50gcarbs. It’s simple and works for me.

I tend to eat more meat after a workout day, like today I did cardio and some strength and had a big t-bone with some bami and mushrooms. Tomorrow will be lean, some soup and bacon.
