1. Day one of my second AAA gig, I crashed the test server for the whole studio with a corrupt file. Boss laughed. 2. After a decade of making games, I posted something on social media, I shouldn’t have! Thankfully a friend noticed my mistake first! 3. I think about #2 daily

4. I once spent a week working on the exact same thing another animator was assigned. Still unsure who was really assigned that work (probably him). 5. I somehow made it so all of my boss’s boss emails would go into junk email. So, it seemed like I was ignoring him for days.

1) First job, deleted the game on P4 2) Another animator and I built and implemented our own character into the game, were slammed with over stepping 3) Too many small studios gave me a 'sky is falling' attitude 4) Took to long to realize that time spent != improvement

Why is it that P4 is making it to everyone’s list? Perhaps we all need better training, or P4 needs some work :) Yes, I too overworked myself, thinking that was a good thing.

First day on a AAA I submit the idle loop of the main character's companion as an additive animation. It took a good 3 minutes for programmers to run to my desk asking WTF DID I DO?!?! I always check before submitting anything to this day.

Sounds about right, and very familiar!

In GoW 3 Kratos has a magic that summons Spartan shields and spears. I did not realize I animated all the shields upside down until of after the game shipped! To this day I told everyone I intended it because they where exiled Spartans showing defiance! Don't tell anyone

Your secret is safe with me... and all the devs you just shared this with ;)
