Why didn't they switch? Griddy was encouraging customers to switch over a week ago. This isn't the first time and won't be the last time wholesale rates spike.
My parents use Griddy and immediately realized their electric bill was skyrocketing so they shut everything down. It's not greed, nor did people die bc of it, stop. More people have died in Wisconsin bc of weather than texas this week. States with far less severe weather have had much worse problems. Wholesale access is great most of the time. For this once in a trillion year storm, problems
