- the need for variant specific boosters has been obvious for a long time. That doesn't mean the ones we already have don't work - they do and they're great, but we can do better.

Adding this deja vu from when we encountered the first variants back in January, 2021. It's the same discussion of the need to stay ahead of the curve, including regulatory processes of how to update the vaccines.

people were saying that this was one of the great advantages of MRNA vaccines! they were claiming this, but there was no program in place to put the supply chain ahead of it.
