Photovoltaic junctions kind of short-circuit the labor theory of value: they make something extremely valuable (electrons) without any labor input. I feel like the implications of this are substantial, but not yet widely understood.

i was going to call my geocryptocurrency sol, for the solar rays that impinge on the earth surface. it’s the most widely distributed recurring power by orders of magnitude. 200 W / m^2 averaged, or thereabouts
