I got burnt when I was younger by a hot water bottle that exploded . electric blankets seem scary too

i don’t know what the level of com product is, but, i would get polymer encapsulated paraffin wax beads, and basically make a pillow of a bunch of beads. (maybe it the best case it would be like buckwheat pillows) low mol wt paraffin melts at ~46C. safer lots of latent heat

I have a buckwheat pillow feel like the problem with wax beads would be they are too slippery, buckwheat is pretty solid. not the head that's the issue anyway more feet

you maybe would, if you are trying to design this as like a buckwheat pillow, try to mold the beads to have shapes, you could use a harder outer polymer. but this is for a body pillow, texture doesn’t have to be perfect
