i’m actually a pretty emotional person, which i sometimes mask with humor, but basically it’s really important to me that my emotions are in line with my projects and my actions, and i take time out of the thick of it to recalibrate if not. you have to meet people where they are

i mean, empathy is a language, and a practice, putting yourself in the perspective of others, meeting them where they are, paying attention to body language and tone of voice, even microexpressions in the face, their eyes. then you do the best you can with the space you have
