right, so it was less “reading encyclopedias and astrophysics books, and testing into 11th grade” and more “looking at pictures” this is very clearly important to your own self-image, so I will leave it alone, but yes I do think you are clearly exaggerating

the reason I believe you to be full of shit is that I remember bits and pieces of kindergarten, and being upset struggling to learn soft “c” from “s” so if you were reading Hawking like a little Einstein at that time, I imagine you have cured cancer 4x over by now

or you’re just exaggerating something your parents told you as a kid, because our social group is weirdly obsessed with IQ and childhood gifted programs (much more likely)

lol the reason I’m annoyed (and I think many others are) is it’s clearly an exaggeration, and it’s just a weird thing to lie about “oh man when I was 5, I was reading astrophysics while mouth-breathers learned their basic phonemes”

yeah, but it’s actually not.

alright, well: 1. already acknowledged you weren’t reading anything, just looking at pictures 2. went out of your way to come challenge my disbelief outside of your thread, clearly important to your self-image i feel comfortable concluding that you’re exaggerating

you’re clearly smart but I feel like someone should tell you that how smart you are at 5 years old does not… have any bearing on your existence today, and the way you interact with the world this doesn’t need to be true. you are clearly still smart either way

it matters to today's 5 year olds if they waste their year in a program that forces them to relearn to read the slow way. that's mainly what i'm saying

I’m not going to indulge this because your entire thread seems dedicated to that line of thinking, and I will respond there should I wish to debate that point
